David Borofsky

Executive Director, Arizona Community College Coordinating Council

David Borofsky

Dr. David Borofsky currently serves as the Executive Director of the Arizona Community College Coordinating Council (AC4), working with the community college Presidents, Chancellors and Trustees.  He has represented the unified and shared interests of the ten public community college districts in the state of Arizona since January 2021 and focuses his efforts on student success by ensuring coordination between the colleges through the Chief Executive Officers and the District Governing Boards.

Borofsky has served as president, provost, executive vice president, dean and director in community colleges, and public and private universities.  He also has extensive experience in meeting the needs of business and industry through workforce and economic development, having served on economic development boards in four states, strategic planning, and meeting facilitation. He has worked in and reported to governing boards in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Washington State, South Dakota, Florida, Louisiana and Arizona.

Borofsky earned his Doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts
