Elizabeth Bolden - Vice-Chair

Elizabeth Bolden is President & CEO of the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges, where she serves a chief spokesperson and advocate for the state’s 14 community colleges. In this role, Bolden collaborates with education leaders from all sectors to improve and promote postsecondary education in Pennsylvania.
Bolden has extensive experience in Pennsylvania state government, particularly in the areas of education policy, state budgeting and finance. She previously worked in the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Governor’s Budget Office where she developed policy and legislation on a broad range of fiscal, education, environment and criminal justice related issues. She has also served as an adjunct professor of political science, teaching courses in American Government, and State & Local Government and Politics.
Bolden holds a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.A. from the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.
